  • 2 1/2 cups finely ground almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup grade B organic maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup organic mini chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Sift all dry ingredients together in a large bowl. If you don’t have a sifter, just mix the dry ingredients well.

In another bowl, combine melted coconut oil with maple syrup. Gently combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until thoroughly incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips.

Use a tablespoon to scoop dough onto cookie sheet. Place dough 1/2″ apart in rows and lightly press tops with back of fork. Bake for 12 minutes. Makes about 18 cookies.

MoodFood Clinic is different

At MoodFood Clinic we discuss your feelings and moods in the context of your biochemistry, the millions of chemical reactions taking place in your body every minute of every day. These tiny biochemical reactions in the body determine things like whether your body is producing enough serotonin to maintain a healthy mood. Your biochemistry determines whether you have enough dopamine to maintain your energy levels throughout the day without coffee, energy drinks, or cigarettes.

At MoodFood Clinic we unravel how biochemical imbalances in the body are contributing to your symptoms of depression and anxiety. We emphasize a root-cause approach and work by identifying and correcting your “upstream” biochemical problems so that “downstream” symptoms and overall health improve.

By addressing the upstream cause, symptoms of depression and anxiety begin to lift. Other seemingly unrelated symptoms often improve in tandem, problems such as acne, weight gain, back and neck pain, joint pain, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and more! By identifying and correcting your root cause, we help the whole person feel healthier, stronger, and more sound.
